Oh dear. Today Jennifer Lopez released a trailer for her next single ‘Papi’, but it’s not really a trailer. More so it’s an advertisement for a car…. featuring JLo‘s single. Awkward? You betcha!
The thirty second clip basically features a tonne of underpaid extras scrambling around the city chasing JLo who is driving some kind of car (that I didn’t pay attention to) and then pulling her out of said car for the totally random/expected dance breakdown. I guess if we can take solice in one fact it’s that JLo is the queen of dance breakdowns and your faves could never (except maybe Paula Abdul when she wasn’t a hot mess….. wait…. was she ever not a hot mess?) do it quite like she does.
Regardless, the ‘Papi’ video should be out in full soon and it’s about time. This song deserves to be a massive smash of ‘On The Floor’ sized proportions. Let’s just hope it’s not too late!

I feel dirty… don’t like the commercial as a preview. She’s divinely gorgeous but really, does she need to pimp herself out to promote her music?
I agree, I really didn’t envision this as the video for a song this amazing. I imagined beaches and lots of dancing and well, just general ‘fierceness’. A bit of a let down!
GET THAT MONEY! is what J.Lo is all about unfortunately.
